I haven't played Killzone 2 (not in the beta) but if the water efects are better than R2 I'll be impressed.  The standing water effects in R2 are phenominal

The water on the ground flows, but it's non-interactive (it's just a small puddle afterall).  In the Helghan trailer they showed levels with waist deep water, and I'm sure they have similarly excellent technology like Resistance.

Yea, this game definitely looks good.  I almost shit myself when i saw the cloaked sniper lol
