Games don't even take advantage of two cores very well: four is redundant and consumes a lot of power. Even if the games were CPU limited (which they certainly aren't), the 2.53GHz core speed means that a 2.66GHz-3.06GHz laptop Intel dual-core would beat the quad-core in most cases.
But it's all pointless since the bottleneck will be the 9700M GT.
