So they added blu-ray into there PS3 not just for games but so that blu-ray will kill HD and Toshiba (SP) will have to pull out and if anyone wants a hi def DVD platform they need to buy a Blu-ray player. The only major competitor they have is DVD and things like Direct TV. |
And thus Sony must get really pissed off when Toshiba sticks something in the spokes like they just did buying exclusivity from paramount and dreamworks. I think Sony was expecting to have won this format war by now, it must be agonizing for it to be drawn out so.
