Console War veterans dont care about PC.

PC only serves as a means to give 360 games like Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead.

The only reason Capcom and S-E are using PCs is because it makes making console games a lot easier and it is also a lot cheaper than developing directly from a console.

You can't develop directly from the console. Everyone develops on the PC and the just sends a build to the console.

If everyone is developing from the PC, then how is developing for a console any harder than developing for a PC.  I wonder if the sending to the console thing has anything to do with it.

It all depends on what the engine is designed to do.  As for why developing for, say, the PS3 may be harder than the PC is because people are simply more use to the PC and things made for the PC or 360 are harder to bring to the PS3.

Again, it just all depends on how their engine is made.  I can't really go into that much more detail because I simply don't know that much more.

What I (as a level designer) know is I talk to the editor on the PC, the editor talks to the engine, the engine talks to whatever platform I'm pushing what I made to.
