Well ,I cant obvioulsy cite all of them ,but to offer some games .....
Final Fantasy VII ,one of the best RPG ,with incredible technology by the standars of 1997 ,I finished it 3 times the third of it with more than 120 hours of play time and a power level like I was a god .Truly groundbreaking ,you could spend weeks only training your chocobos ,battlin in the Arena of the Gold Saucer ,fightint the Armas ....
Zelda Ocarina of Time ,a great game ,with great graphics and environment specially for the time it was released .Great play mechanics (so great it hasnt changed a bit until today ) ,marvelous music that just sticked in your head ,a long and difficult quest ,many side-quests .....charismatic .One of the all-times better games .
Final Fantasy VIII .History-wise it was worse than VII but the charachters were very charismatic ,the quest was as long and enyoyable ,top notch graphics ,music ,cut-scenes ,and one of the better fighting systems in the FF universe ...the card game was also very time consuming and compelling .
Shenmue II ,truly a magic game .The best graphics the Dreamcast managed ,its swansong ,a long and powerful adventure ,enourmous open environments with dozens of people walking and with wich you could interact ...it ironed out some of Shenmue I problems (you could cut the time passing until a meeting unlike the first ) .The fighting system was also very deep .The end of the game was beautiful and magic .
Revenge of Shinobi .One of the best arcade games of the 16 bit era .It was one of the early Megadrive/Genesis offering but wasnt surpassed even by its sequels Shadow Dancer and Shinobi III .Long ,top graphics ,difficult ,top controls ,great final bosses ,great music ....
International Superstar Soccer .The Snes version had my friends group literally glued to the pad for nearly 2 years .The first great soccer game released .The gameplay was extremely fluid and faithful but at the same time spectacular and allowed for great goals .
Streetfighter II .The best 2D beat-them-up .In its different incarnations as SFII for the Snes ,SFII CE for Megadrive ,SFII Turbo for Snes and MD and Super Streetfighter II for Snes and MD it was the lord of beat them ups for many years .If we include the Streetfighter Alpha games and SF III Third Strike this has taken months and months of my life ! .
Knights of the Old Republic .Maybe not up to the cult-status as the others but I spent a lot of hours with this game .Beat it 3 times with everything accomplished and fondly remember it .One of the better games of the Xbox after my point of view .
Ninja Gaiden .Simply the best action game I have experienced in the recent years .I had this for the original Xbox and have also bought it for the PS3 so you can figure how much I like this game .Long ,though ,challenging ,exhilarating gameplay ,great graphics and sound ...
Resident Evil 4 .I spent many time with this game .Truly great graphics ,gameplay ,story ,a must have for the Game Cube .
Resident Evil 1 .I spent even more time with this one than with RE4 .When I bought this along my PSX I hadnt too much money so I couldnt buy a memory card .So ,with a friend we started the game agains each and every day just to do things faster and advance the quest a bit .For nearly a month we played like that until I bought the memory card .This game was a true shock for all videogames fans back in 1997 .
Rome Total War .Just to add one of my beloveds RTS I will put one of those .I have really loved games as Warcraft III ,Age of Empires I-III ,Empire Earth ...but my fave has been probably the great Rome Total War .A true classic .
I want also to mention games as Metal Gear Solid (PSX ) ,Final Fantasy X (PS2 ) ,Fable (Xbox ) ,Fzero ( Snes and Game Cube ) ,Zelda twilight Princess (GC ) ,Lumines (PSP ) ,Tetris (tons of plattforms ) ,Castlevania IV (Snes ) ,Astro marine Corps (Amstrad CPC ) ,Sonic 2 (Megadrive ) ,Contra III Alien Wars (Snes ) ,Marvel Vs Capcom 2 (Dreamcast ) ,Soul Calibur (Dreamcast ),Resident Evil Code Veronica (Dreamcast ),Resident Evil 2-3 (PSX) and many others but the 12 above are the ones that more inmediately appeared on my mind .
