I don't remember KH 1 having CGI at all, except in the beginning. No reason why the Wii can't have it as well. Obviously the Wii is stronger than the PS2, and is capable of CGI.
As for Nomura deciding where KH 3 goes, one man can't decide such an important business decision, especially when Disney has something to say about it.
