The non-move to netflix was a VERY sensible move on Sony's part, I was honestly shocked when rumors went around that they'd be going netflix >_>;;;
Sony's needed it's own marketplace for god knows how long, hell they only create movies, music, television, and games. What I eventually see happening, is a full robust Sony store, and maybe eventually down the line they'll have they're own "subscription fee" for the movies section of they're store. It will include access to all the music, movies, and rentable games, complete with bucketloads of DRM :P But you know what, it would be about time.
Microsoft going netflix totally makes sense, not so much for Sony. Just my 2 cents anyway ^^
