SE hasn't done jack lately. Their last fine console game was FF12. Since then they have released uninspired game after game. And to be honest the way FF13 is shaping up it does not look to be that great a title, though it should sell well regardless of how it turns out. They are smart to also release it on the Xbox360. It just goes to show how much confidence SE has in Sony.
If any game will save SE from mediocrity it is DQ9. This is the first FF or DQ original release for a hanheld. And considering there are 86 million plus DS's floating around out there it will be huge.
It also works out perfectly because DQ is old school style roleplaying which the limited hardware of the DS will not detract from. They compliment eachother perfectly. They are putting a lot of work in to this game because they know what is at stake. I totally look forward to seeing the result.
