I think you misunderstand many people's comments ... We don't have exact numbers, but in every region there is a certain group of people (early adopters) who are willing to pay practically anything in order to be the first person with a gizmo, gadget or do-hickey. As a guestimate, I would say that there is (roughly) 500,000 to 5,000,000 people who will buy a videogame system simply because it is brand new. Now with the PS3 not selling out we can assume that most of these early adopters who wanted a PS3 got one; we don't know whether it is an amazing number or not because so few major console releases have not sold out.
