Wait wait wait wait wait. Let's back the hardcore truck up a bit here. When the hell did Animal Crossing get the hardcore label even compared to other Nintendo franchises? It might be more hardcore than the Wii * series but thats about it. When a game is less hardcore than Mario sports, the term just shouldn't be used for it.
