Clearly they still think "rap" is the same as the stereotypes portrayed on MTV or whatever else junk.
Try the real hip-hop stuff:
- Beastie Boys
- dead prez
- A Tribe Called Quest
- Eric B. & Rakim
- KRS-One
- Tupac
I know they're artists but still, people should check out some of their shit.
There's too many to name off the spot.
I like the older stuff but there has been some new artists that I dig, for example Lupe.
