I don't know much about the new iteration, but the weapons and vehicles are pretty much always unique. As far as what windbane said, he states that it'll revolutionize CONSOLE fps. It'll do that with cross platform play, the kbd/mouse support and allowing mods. As far as the engine goes, the Unreal engines are always super popular because of the level of customization they allow. Both modders and devs alike will use it a lot. While it remains to be seen if the new engine will be as popular as previous ones, if it is, it'll be the best engine out there. At least for a while, as the new id engine may fix up what hurt them with the Doom3 engine. Personally, I was hoping more people would have used the steam engine. |

Also, I said revolutionize the CONSOLE fps. Keyboard/mouse is one thing, but PC mods are quite another and the first time ever.
