The interface is obviously better. I agree that the avatars sucks compared to the Mii. My avatar looks nothing like me while my Mii looks a lot like me. My gf found it a real pain creating her avatar because the girl mouths look really weird. The ads are annoying as well. At least, it's much better than the old crap.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
