This is Sony, and this is the PS3. The first and foremost thing they will focus on - in every game - will be gfx, sound, production. It makes sense - developing to the consoles strengths. As long as they don't leave what matters behind (i.e. gameplay) - its all good.
Heavenly Sword looks to me like a solid 8.5-9.5 title - so a score of 9 seems right & fair. Its not a 7, and its not a 10.
