I don't have a PS3, so I don't know how well it's motion controls work. That said, IF the PS3 somehow dominates, it will be because it's packed with so many luxuries that may become standard down the line.

1. Blu-ray (even though I won't even watch a DVD on a video game console.) if it really does catch on
2. Motion control (it's here, and it's not a gimmick) Sony is the only place where motion control & next gen graphics collide
3. Graphics: which reached a point LAST GENERATION where you can emotionally connect to your character.
4. Online. By the time this generation ends, Sony & Microsoft will have set the standard for the following generation.
5. Storage capacity. I could care less about blu-ray. Then again I didn't give a crap about cd's when the N64 launched. I'm just a gamer, not a developer.

In all reality, I doubt Sony will win the next gen, but if they pull it off, these are the reasons. I'm just playing the advocate.
