If you consider the 360 a decent price yet say that the PS3 is expensive let us compare as ratios. If a 360 is akin to a car lets assign it a reasonable value... let us say 15,000. Then the PS3 would be 22,500 ratio wise. Considering I just purchased a car between those two price points I am sure that if deemed worth it the more expensive car would have not been a strain.
The Ferrari comment is based on the fact that (given enough time) you can save up and purchase practically everything; the interesting thing is that most of the people who can afford a Ferrari do not purchase one because of how impractical it is. Anyways , if I was calling the systems cars I would say: The Gameboy Advance is a Scooter at $8,000 The PS2 is a used compact car for $10,000 The DS is a sub-compact at $15,000 The PSP is a sub-compact at $20,000 The Wii is a compact car at $25,000 The XBox 360 is a mid-sized car that can be purchased for $30,000 or $40,000 (fully loaded) And the PS3 is a mid-sized luxury car that can be purchased for $50,000 or $60,000 People end up having to choose a console which suits their needs for a price they can afford.
