| VAMP said: What I'm about to say is hypocritical because I bought the new Madden, but: EA is the biggest 3rd party developer because we keep them at the top. There's a lot of talk about how EA is bad for the industry around the various game sites and forums I visit, but the solid fact is they are #1 because we don't pull support. Actions speak louder than words, and yeah I'm pissed at EA over the 30fps issue but, honestly, I want to play NFL footbal and they're the only company that makes the game. So it's a sucky situation, but it's like trying to quit a nasty addiction, easier said than done. |
It's a two-way street. Yes, people keep buying their games, and that's why they're at the top, but like you said, they're the only company putting out an NFL football game. So what choice do people have? Either play a game that's not as fun as it could be, or play nothing at all.
Football doesn't matter to me in the least, but NFS and BF1942 did matter. Honestly though, there are so many other great games available, I can live without those. Still, they prevented these franchises from reaching their potential, and it pisses me off.
