Seriously... look a site before you decide if the reviews are credible or not.
IGN actually tends to rate the average of EGM and Play magazine as the average EGM Ranking is about a 7 and the Average Play magazine ranking is about an 8. IGN's average ranking about a 7.5
Personally saying an average game is a 7 is fair to me not being harsh. It's just the average for all the reveiwers is high because you have a lot of reviewers like Play Magazine handing out 8's left and right and fewer magazines like EGM dropping the hammer on games i doesn't like. (For fear of the company getting pissed at them.)
