Kantor said: To each his own, I suppose. In my opinion, that should be nominated for the worst FPS campaign of all time. EDIT: Also, not enough characterisation was done in the Marine parts, IMO. I felt like I knew who Soap, Gaz and Captain Price were after the SAS campaign, and the memory level helped with that. Sergeant Jackson though... I was almost glad he died. Also, for some reason, the SAS maps were generally more fun to play. I found the Marine maps too open and large. I think if they had just focused on the SAS section and made it longer, that campaign could have been great. |
To each his own, indeed. I enjoy shorter games unless they are made by Kojima or Square-Enix. I thought Resistance 1 dragged on too long. I've enjoyed Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry 4, Ratchet, and other games that aren't that long.
Not that being short is always good, because Gears didn't have much of a story...
Oh well, that's why there are so many shooters, I guess. I need to finally play Halflife at some point, too. I hear those are long. I always just played Counter-strike.
