Seems to me that it is better to have the option to save money and upgrade if you want to rather than be forced to pay for something you dont want right off the bat. Heck Sony would be far ahead of the 360 if they had done that themselves. Take out the br drive and bam... $200 off the price.

but, at least, with a PS3, u have everything to play all game whatever the sku u buy (20/60/80gb)
that is not the case of the Xbox360 ...
