Let me 1st say that l im getting tired of the fanboyish posts you make. Please use better journalism if you want to start threads and try not to do what other fanboys/girls do else you will be no better.
1 - Someone who buys a core system probably doesnt want to connect the 360 to the internet to begin with thus...
2 - Someone who has a core isnt interested in MMO's
Seems to me that it is better to have the option to save money and upgrade if you want to rather than be forced to pay for something you dont want right off the bat. Heck Sony would be far ahead of the 360 if they had done that themselves. Take out the br drive and bam... $200 off the price.
