Remember AMD's annoucement of a 12-core server processor in 2010? Well, Intel has an 80-core one. Obviously it's not for desktop use, but they actually have a test chip running 80 cores at a sane TDP today, and this Dell slide confirms it will be an actual product. Also, I don't like the look of that "Core Race" phrase. Will it be like the clockspeed race?
