Granted they deal with the same charachter but still, there was so much evolution to the game for the Solid series that really they aren't very similar at all. I guess this argument could be made to a degree with a lot of franchisees but still.
Also I fail to see how any game that has sold over a million copies is miniscule. King's Quest may be the only "obscure" title on that list. I don't think that was a fair or justified comment to make. KOF is fairly niche, yet if you consider SNK vs. Capcom CHaos and Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2.. then it should be more viable. |
But I think the better point is that if you separate MG and MGS, there's no reason at all to have MG in here. It would be like including Rad Racer. So really your objection boils down to the fact that he wrote in "Metal Gear" instead of "Metal Gear Solid".
And no, I wouldn't count crossover fighting games as part of either franchise, but rather as a spinoff. Apparently Capcom vs. SNK got to be its own franchise though ...
