8 bits = 1 byte

So 1.3 Mb/s equals 1.3 million bits/ 1024 = 1269 kilobits / 8 = 160 KB/s

1000/1024 bytes = 1 KB So 160 KB/s roughly translates to about 1.3 Mb/s

Confusing, to say the least.
