Well, that's the problem. You know nothing about chrsitianity. God doesn't usually provide miracles, he gives people the tools/opprotunity.

I don't know where I heard this, but it makes perfect sense: The story was about a man on top of his house as the surrounding area was flooded. The man prayed to god to help him. Well, a boat passes by, the captain askes the man if he needs help, but the man says "no, god will save me". The man keeps praying. Another boat passes by, same thing happens. The man finds a raft that he can blown up and use. Instead, the man throws it back out into the water. "god will save me" he says a final time. Even though god was trying to save him the entire time.

God doesn't do the whole obvious thing like athiests paint a picture in their head to disprove it. It is usually subtle.

Now onto your other thing: Your generalizations are laughable. There are christians who are scientists you know, in fact I know one.

Yes, it is true I believe everything happens for a reason. And It's true, I believe god is the creator.

But again, god gave us brains for a reason. He isn't going to do everything, he made us to be self reliant. It's a reason why we "discover".

And again, don't generalize.

Your example story doesn't hold water in every situation. 'God' never gives you what you pray for - You give it to yourself subconciously when you pray(if it's obtainable), or it's simply a coincidence that you received it. Also, sometimes your fucked, it happens. Your prayer is as useless as jacking off a dildo to try to make it sploodge - If you can't physically stop what's going to happen, or if something doesn't intervene, the outcome can not change from prayer.

Everything does happen for a reason, but why does a god have to be involved in that? The universe gave us brains, not god. Our brains made us self reliant, and makes us discover, not god. Our brains are part of the universe.

I think 'God' is the universe. I think we're all part of God. I think the universe is one entity seperated within itself, the same way the cells of our body are part of us, but much more advanced.

I dislike the idea lots of people have, that God is love. God should be represented by balance, not love or good.

Well, that's just a fundamental difference between some people, unlike most athiests on this site, I believe prayer can change things. Even if you are fucked, it is all part of gods plan, that's what I think anyway, not trying to preach here.

You you say in your second point would be true, if I wasn't a christian, but I believe god made the universe and everything in it (so therefore, brains also)

Sometimes i feel like everything is a part of god. But I believe that is just the human subconscious's desire to BE god.
