I know it is too late, but imagine a Nintendo anouncement that FF13 would be on the Wii in Japan (just trying to demonstrate a point, I know it is impossible.) Who would having a new Wii anger? Not the new casuals, they wouldn't really care. Either they wouldn't upgrade (most likely) or they are used to Ipod generations and five years would seem long. As for the core, it could prevent some of them from becoming two-console owners for third parties. |
So, let me get this straight ...
Your argument is that a large portion of the Wii's userbase (and one of Nintendo's key target demographics) will not buy a Wii HD, and Nintendo would abandon these gamers to gain access to games which have failed to hurt Wii sales so far. That's a winning strategy!
