I'm not rubbing anything in, just defending EGM's rumormill that is usually at least partially correct. Perhaps Sony was originally involved directly, perhaps they still are. We'll find out.
It will probably only work if big games are supported anyway. The device(s) would need to become widespread enough so that each Wii title could be more easily ported to the PS2.
