It's too bad Dalton didn't get enough time to shine, Though only one of his movies was great, I just really liked him as bond. To me he was the most realistic super spy. He seemed the most like an actual human being, who could do amazing things, but really had to work for it. Felt all the more satisfying when he'd deliver his humorous lines.

Roger Moore was by far the biggest blight on the series. Why did they keep putting him in Bond films? He was just this creepy old guy in laughable plots delivering smarmy lines. At most, they're enjoyable as comedies.

Damn straight.  Timothy Dalton was the perfect Bond and the producers were trying to snag him for decades.  They asked him to be Bond for On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1967, and he said no, because he was too young and didn't want to go right after Connery.  When he finally took the role for The Living Daylights in 1987, it was their 5th offer (it was somehow between him and Brosnan and Sam Neill at the time).

Can you imagine being so badass you turn down the role of James Bond 4 fucking times?

@Montana, how dare you sir.  You Only Live Twice is by far my favorite Bond film!
