One look at any review collecting site would tell you that LittleBigPlanet is the better game by nearly every measure. They're exclusives for different platforms, appealing to fairly different audiences. Most people can't even tell if Banjo is a racer or platformer (I certainly don't know) and I haven't seen advertisements anywhere close to the level I've seen for LittleBigPlanet. Some games were meant to compete and steal hype from one another (Resistance and Gears of War, for example). I can't imagine Banjo and LBP having such a relationship.
