I disagree with the claim PSN is better than XBox Live. Majority of people in the real world who have experienced XBox Live and PSN including myself say that XBox Live is superior than PSN.
XBox Live has a lot more games than PSN, the online gaming on XBox Live is superior than PSN. XBox Live you can use head sets and talk to people, the friend list is integrated, XBox Live has lot more content and upgrades frequently.
PSN is free because it is mediocre, it has lots of server issues and limited amount of people to play online. XBox Live has over 12 million subscribers compared to PSN barely 3 million.
