If it's not about blu-ray (PS3 no longer the cheapest method of obtaining a player but it is a $350 value still I believe), wireless capability, or reading different memory formats, then look at the 20GB PS3 versus the highly suggested 360 $400 version. The PS3 is $100 more, has a few more gigs of space (both listed at 20GB), and has free online gaming. After 2 years of xbox live gold (allowing online game play) it would be the same price. If you don't prefer online gaming, despite its growing appeal to console gamers, then consider if $100 is worth the exclusives that the PS3 has left. I agree that the 360 has a good lineup for 2007, but there are still Sony games that won't be on 360 as well as some 3rd party exclusives left like FF13 and MGS4 (possibly 2008). Not only that, but former exclusives to microsoft such as elder scrolls oblivion, ghost recon 2, ninja gaiden sigma, and others are heading to the PS3 and getting upgrades in some cases (especially ninja gaiden which I noticed was the cover feature of PSM this month). The lineup has been thin, but the plethora of EA games are coming for all systems soon, Lair is coming next month I believe, Motorstorm shows off what the PS3 can do already the last few weeks, and the previously mentioned elder scrolls is now out. 360 has lost planet, gears of war, crackdown with the halo 3 beta invite. Just comes down to what games you want to play.
