I loved them since Mission 05 The Kloden wildwood. I just couldn't finish this as quickly without an engineer : they disarm the mines and have the second biggest AP. Coupled with the right characters, they're badasses.
In this mission, I used Aika (Scout), Vyse (Shocktroopers) and Dallas (Engineer) to sneak in the base and take it in 3 turns. What's surprising is that despite Dallas hating men and having affinity with Aika, when I shot the Shocktroopers guarding the flags, Vyse was nearer, and he helped Dallas. I suppose that's because Dallas has Aika as buddy, and Vyse has Aika as buddy too. I was surprised to say the least.
