1,2 and 4.
The changes between games are on the level of a patch. The fact people keep buying each version says a lot about the attention span of the masses.
I played first game to death, I bought the second and was bored within hours, it was near identical. I skipped 3 because was just a graphic update, and I bought 4 long after release second hand for about £5 thinking the series might have changed enough. I was the same game near enough, graphic update the biggest change. |
You can't be serious. GT is a racing sim, what kind of overhaul do you expect? Even if they add damage, it will still be for the most part the "same game" as you put it. The level of tuning options were huge improvements from GT2 > GT3 > GT4, and the tracks also improved. Even with GT5P's online, why in the world would you mention that they've all been the same game. GT has always been a racing sim, so the only way they could improve the series is by providing more options and "realism" with each iteration. Are you hunting for a gimmick?
You're argument is the same as saying "every football game is the same, you kick a ball into the goal... except this year, it's more realistic".
