Will they before early next year? Very probably not.
Would a price cut help? Oh, yes!
Catch 22 for the gaming generation - they can't increase rate of marketshare attainment and software sales because they can't cut price, and they can't cut price because they don't have enough marketshare to sustain it with software sales.
Bet they're having some fun internal meetings since the 360 started outselling the PS3 WW.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
