Well videogames in general are much more popular than they were before. If I were to make a status chart it would go somehting like this.

70's - Pinball is ok because of The Who, I like to get stoned at the aarcade man. Games on the computer??? What? Super nerds

early 80s - Only nerds and rich people with nothing better to do with their money buy videogames for their home. Nerdy.

Late 80s - Smoking dope outside arcades' illegality is much more enforced. Many adult/teens stop going, arcade business starts a crumbling decline.
meenwhile at home....
Videogames are for kids and nerds.

Early 90s - yeah I played my Little brothers, its ok, but it's for kids, and like those comic book type nerds/geeks.

Mid 90s - Sports games on a used Genesis or new playstation are kinda cool, but I DONT play games

Late 90s - Games are still kiddy and nerdy, except my Playstation, Tony Hawk rulez! I huff Air!

2001 - 2004 Oh man Madden is the best game ever, I dont care about that Devil Cary game of whatsamusha, Madden man, its all you need. And GTA II, ha hookers. Metal Gear Solid 2 is cool, I bought it, but I don't want to admit its too hard so I can't play it. I think I'll exchange it for like NBA Live or something. I can play DVDs at VHS quality!

Then something happened.....

People looked around and noticed. Others are playing Madden too. Others have these wierd nerd boxes in their rooms. For those who avoided Everquest WoW started appealing to the popular masses too, Infection spread, like in Racoon city. Now the Wii is here and ...shutter (regular people) .. shutter, are ...buying..games. Perish the thought.

... OK I don't knoe why I typed all that. but yeah I think XBOX360 circumstantially sells to cazers, but a little less than PS3, and a wholl lotta less than Wii.
