It might not be like the Wii in terms of type of people they bring and family oriented games they play but what I been observing is that the 360 does bring in casual players. For about a year at work and around town I  have been noticing some of my Co-workers talking about the xbox 360 . My female Co-workers usualy talk about how their husband/boyfriend play it online with games like gears and halo being mentioned. I was suprised when she said her husband played it and asked if he usualy played video or computer games before she said no he doesn't understand how use the computer to well so he never did play on it. This started to become a trend between every person I spoke to talking about how they or friend play it but never played computer or video games before the 360. Today is when It hit me the 360 does bring in casual when I saw someone in line at boston market with a copy of gears and live card. I asked him the same question he said "no never played games too much before but I like killing people online and how realistic it looks on the 360".

So do you think the 360 bring in these type of recreational/casual players because of ease to use compare to a PC and realism compared to a last gen systems.

It depends on what you define as a casual. I think it definitely brings in male casuals — lads who see their friends playing a game or see a commercial for Halo and decide they want to play, too. But it definitely has not reached female casual gamers in any significant numbers, and that's the demographic that Wii is spanking them (and everyone else) in.

If you want to really widen your market, you need to bring in women. Just look at PC gaming — sales of most PC games are pretty poor in comparison to their console brothers, excluding titles that actively target women. Games like The Sims and World of Warcraft have huge portions of their userbase made up of women, and are selling in vastly, vastly larger numbers than any other games on the PC market.
