Considering the 60GB, with Wi-Fi/Flashcard reader sold much easier than the cheaper 20 GB model, I think many consumers aren't solely looking at the price, but rather at the bang for their buck.
You can't directly compare sales of a system which was sold out for months against a system that is readily available in order to indicate relative popularity of the systems ...
