What you originally said though is false, judging by the aftermath of FF13 being announced as multiplatform.

previous versions of ffxi?, do some research please.. FFXI is doing well and a few expansion packs came out for it , Rise of Zilart, Chains of Promethia, ToAU etc.
FFXI is still doing well after what? 5-6yrs it may not be a 10+million like WoW but its doing pretty well. hence all the Additional packs and missions/areas/ etc.
