Isn't there also a lot from Sony (Mostly about SOE) and some from Nintendo (One about DS lite hinge and another about uncited GameCube Disc failures?) ? and don't even get me started on Microsoft.

Although to be fair, it seems a lot less corporate based as some one from that company just happens to edit it. Also keep in mind that most of the edit they made were typo correction, so actual removal of potential harmful information is not that often by any definition...
P.S. There's also some more obvious editing done by other companies/organizations...
P.P.S. Keep in mind they mentioned nothing specific about said IP tracking tool as well... It's not like IP address are all that hard to conceal/change given some network knowledge, correct packet capturing/analyzing tools and some programming skills.
