Well maybe you weren't a Metal Gear Solid fan. If you were you wouldn't be complaining. Clearly you are not a Metal Gear Solid fan, so you picked up the game and was just bought into the hype. Sad thing to do buddy, but a...to each is own. You didn't like it, I loved the demo and I will pick the game up after I finish Uncharted and GT5: Prologue.

That is probably one of the worst defences to exist, I'm willing to bet I was playing Metal gear games before some people on this forum were even born, and I mean that literally. I've played pretty much ever game to death, even MGS2 with its flaws. See my previous post.

Edit: wait, you don't even own it but are defending?  Oh ho ho, i understand now, I had that optimism back on June 11th, I bought a PS3 solely for it. Take it from someone who was once in your shoes...MGS4 will ruin the entire series of games for you.  Don't play it.  Ever. Of course I also know that if you're a MGS fan you will -have- to buy it, nothing will sway you, thats just how it is, but you will regret it once finishing it.

Okay, well I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence right now and enjoying this game. The only Metal Gear Solid I haven't really gotten into is Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Now that game is really not that good and annoying and has a horrible story.

I have not played the game (MGS4), not the full retail version, but I did play the demo and loved the gameplay part of it. That's what I liked about Metal Gear Solid series in the first place was the stealth aspect.
