Yes you are correct this game is indeed the best of the best this generation.
I haven't played the full game yet, but I did play the recent demo that is available on PSN right now. And it was an amazing taste of what is yet to come for me. The graphics are awesome to begin with, the controls are spot on. The enemy A.I. is just outstanding. I like how you can automatically camouflage yourself with the environments within 2 seconds of leaving against it.
The voices works and the lip-syncing is so freaking smooth. I mean this is the freaking demo I'm talking about!!!!
I can't wait to get my hands on the full-version. It's either this game or Valkyrie Chronicles is going to be my next PS3 purchase.
