V-r0cK - What's the game that's going to be huge for the Playstation 3 next year?
Halo 3 Recon - Sequel to the best-selling game in Microsoft history. Assured to sell 4m copies
Alan Wake - Name alone should be enough. May not be a 3m+ seller, but if the game is as good as it looks, it's going to be one of the best X360 games made, and genre-breaking too.
Forza Motorsports 3 - Sequel to a quickly-improving series. FM1 sold 1m copies, barely. FM2 sold around 1.5-2m before bundling.
APB - Major MMO from RealTimeWorlds (Crackdown/Grand Theft Auto). I figure this one will be huge too.
Mass Effect 2 - Sequel to a very successful new IP which sold 2m copies on the X360 alone.
Of the list, H3R should be the best-selling at over 4m units, if not 6 or more. Outside of that, Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 will be well received and have great potential to be breakout hits.
I think every fanboy forgets that Gears of War 1 had absolutely no hype until E3 in 2006. That's when everyone realized it was going to be the "uber game". What was Microsofts uber-game this year? It wasn't 12 months before, that everyone began to anticipate, because we heard the same rhetoric from Sony fanboys and anti-X360'ers that the X360 was going to have no games in 08. Now at the end of the year, we can look back and see that it was an incredible year. 2009 will be as well.
