Are you guys forgetting that Tales of Vesperia only has an 82 on Metacritic, yet it is by far and away the best JRPG this generation?
JRPGs fit a niche genre that Western reviewers don't seem to want to like anymore, unlike the game's name is "Final Fantasy". Remember that issue of EGM a while back where they literally spent the entire magazine bashing Japanese game dev?
I'll take this over another generic FPS any day.
