5th Generation.

Back when gaming was simple, there was very little internet to speak of, I was allowed to play in my own little enclosed space (read: no online on PS1 and N64) and I had two consoles, each providing me with countless hours of entertainment.

My game of that generation:

Super Smash Bros. The amount of hours I spent on that game was unhealthy to say the least. Link was my character, using him I could beat anyone using the overpowered characters, so the game seemed "balanced". Having 5 other mates equally good at the game meant that mulitplayer was epic (99 lives to 0, with the difference at the end between all 4 players being at most 4 lives. That's how equal all our skills were).

Good times.
