I think it's all a matter of taste.
I am buying around 50% more game/year for my PS3 than I used to for the PS2 and I have never spent as much time playing on a console than I have so far this gen..........
I woudn't go so far as saying the 360 and the PS3 are that different.
Lack of HDD on some 360 SKUs is indeed a poor idea.
Blue Ray is a big deal for movies buffs and for game developers( as this gen ages they are going to have to be more creative/do more work to fit games in a single DVD), not so much for gamers themselves.
If media size really became a problem Microsoft would just have to ease their licencing policy on multiple DVDs games which really isn't that big of a deal...
As for games, as a PS3 owner I wish I could play Fable2, Mass Effect ( bought it on PC and my poor PC is too weak for the game), Ninja Gaiden 2, GoW and GoW2 ( but not Halo3, don't ask me why, I am just a lot more hyped about GoW than Halo) and that trophy has been included from the release date of the PS3
But on the other hand, I am glad I have been able to play or will be able to play MGS4, Heavenly Sword ( the game is actually enjoyable, just too short), Uncharted, Re2, LBP ( maybe, I haven't bought it yet so can't really say..), WKC, GT5
PS : Don't ditch Blue Ray totally, it's a wonderfull marketing argument. Last week I saw a teenager at Best Buy trying to convince what I believe were his parents to buy him a PS3 for chrismas. And his main selling point definitly was Blue Ray ( I could see him pointing at the HD TVs and telling them what benefit they would get out of the PS3 lol).
