I've been playing since the Atari days, and IMO this is one of the best generations of gaming. Console games are starting to offer something for everyone, hardcore, casual, and everything in between. The big word for this generation is CHOICE, you even have choices in which PS3 or 360 you want to buy, depending on your taste and how much money you're willing to spend. I could say more but will leave it at that.
Also, you left off 2 major things in the 360 list:
Achievements: This speaks for itself since it's been copied by PS3 and even WoW, but it adds replayability to games and gives gamers a new way to show off their accomplishments.
XBLA: This is a major part of the 360 library, and was even given it's own, separate section at IGN (http://xboxlive.ign.com/). XBLA allows smaller devs to step into the HD console realm, old titles to be replayed and upgraded.
