So after leeching gameplay for months out of the demo I finally gave in and unlocked the full game.
To be honest I'm rather weary of direct distribution: no physical copy, DRM, etc... but man, the games are good. Castle Crashers was a fun romp through the single player (a shame we still don't have a fix for the multiplayer) but geowars2... it's just godly.
Probably some of the most fun and crazy coop I've had in years. I always used to say Ninty is the king of local coop (and heck, they still are) but geowars 2 is just beyond awesome. I just wish my LCD had better black levels and contrast (it's an early model and I had to pick between image quality and responsiveness) - the greyish-blackish background mars the visuals somewhat.
In a certain sense, geowars 2 is just extremely-polished coin-op gameplay with modern standards. Which means, amongst other things, that replayability is the real deal here. It's far from todays more common storyline-core experience way of designing games.
