It's really funny to hear (read) people who know nothing about American history claim "intentions of the Founders/Forefathers", as we hear so often from the right.
I've explained previously how markets are NEVER mentioned in the constitution in any way other than setting taxes.
Deeper than that, the 16-18th Century English were looked at by the rest of Europe as the most argumentative and disagreeable people. They never stopped arguing with each other.
18th Century Americans made the English look like they were one big happy family.
This countries strength is the fact that we never get along and are so quick to hurt each others' feelings.
The fact that 99.99% of the time we do it without violence is amazing.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
