From personal experience this is very true

 

Onkyo is very good... In fact, that is what I had before I replaced it with my Yamaha Receiver, and the Yamaha is far far better then the Onkyo.  Using the same speakers, I have clearer and far crisper sound out of them in comparison.

 

Just wondering, what kind of speakers do you use?

Polk Audios all the way around. :)  They were $1300 when I bought them about 7 years ago.
