It's not an IW CoD and the previous WWII CoD didn't sell well on PS3, so my guess is no. Also seeing as how QoS bombed on every platform which is an Activision shooter too.

All of these war releated games have sold way less than a million, so the pattern is obvious. Save for CoD4 at 3.69 million, and Resistance at 3.21 million no other FPS or war related game has sold more than a million. If the game isn-t the next big thing, I really cant see it breaking a million this year, and maybe not even LTD.

Haze was a highly hyped exclusive that fell flat on its face upon meeting reviews, and when the only audience it was appealing to realized its mediocrity, its failure was quickly determined. Call of Duty 5 is being hyped by way more people due to it being on more platforms. And how did Quantum of Solace bomb? It's only been released in PAL so far, and I'm guessing that the only place it sold decently was the United Kingdom. I'd wait for more than 1 week of sales to call a bomb, especially with the combined sales of every version and an upcoming holiday season. And the reason Call of Duty 3 "bombed" on the PS3 was because it had competition with the superior Resistance: Fall of Man (the Wii version had this same problem with Red Steel), and the userbase was laughably low. And what's this about war related games? Metal Gear Solid 4 is about the closest thing you can get to that category, and it sold pretty well. Mercenaries 2 is a sandbox type game that's more similar to Grand Theft Auto than your average shooter game. Besides, there's no indication that Call of Duty 5 will be vastly worse than Call of Duty 4. Sure, it's a different developer, but anyone who's played the beta (including myself) can tell you that the two games are very similar. If it were truly a disappointment and didn't manage to sell 1 million on the PS3 by the end of the year, it would certainly manage it lifetime. You'd have to be a pretty terrible predictor to guess otherwise.
